I Have a Dream

I am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation.

Five score years ago, a great American, in whose symbolic shadow we stand today, signed the Emancipation Proclamation.
This momentous decree came as a great beacon of hope to millions of slaves, who had been seared in the flames of whithering injustice.

It came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of their captivity.

But one hundred years later, the colored America is still not free.

One hundred years later, the life of the colored American is still sadly crippled by the manacle of segregation and the chains of discrimination.

One hundred years later, the colored American lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity.

One hundred years later, the colored American is still languishing in the corners of American society and finds himself an exile in his own land

So we have come here today to dramatize a shameful condition.

In a sense we have come to our nation's capital to cash a check. When the architects of our great republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every American was to fall heir.

This note was a promise that all men, yes, black men as well as white men, would be guaranteed to the inalienable rights of life liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

It is obvious today that America has defaulted on this promissory note insofar as her citizens of color are concerned.

Instead of honoring this sacred obligation, America has given its colored people a bad check, a check that has come back marked "insufficient funds."

But we refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt. We refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity of this nation.

So we have come to cash this check, a check that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom and security of justice.

We have also come to his hallowed spot to remind America of the fierce urgency of Now.

This is not time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism.

Now is the time to make real the promise of democracy.

Now it the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice.

Now it the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood.

Now is the time to make justice a reality to all of God's children.

It would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment and to underestimate the determination of it's colored citizens.

This sweltering summer of the colored people's legitimate discontent will not pass until there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality.

Nineteen sixty-three is not an end but a beginning.

Those who hope that the colored Americans needed to blow off steam and will now be content will have a rude awakening if the nation returns to business as usual.

There will be neither rest nor tranquility in America until the colored citizen is granted his citizenship rights.

The whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our nation until the bright day of justice emerges.

We can never be satisfied as long as our bodies, heavy with the fatigue of travel, cannot gain lodging in the motels of the highways and the hotels of the cities.

We cannot be satisfied as long as the colored person's basic mobility is from a smaller ghetto to a larger one.

We can never be satisfied as long as our children are stripped of their selfhood and robbed of their dignity by signs stating "for white only."

We cannot be satisfied as long as a colored person in Mississippi cannot vote and a colored person in New York believes he has nothing for which to vote.

No, no we are not satisfied and we will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream.

I am not unmindful that some of you have come here out of your trials and tribulations.

Some of you have come from areas where your quest for freedom left you battered by storms of persecutions and staggered by the winds of police brutality.

You have been the veterans of creative suffering.

Continue to work with the faith that unearned suffering is redemptive.

Go back to Mississippi, go back to Alabama, go back to South Carolina go back to Georgia, go back to Louisiana, go back to the slums and ghettos of our modern cities, knowing that somehow this situation can and will be changed.

Let us not wallow in the valley of despair.

I say to you, my friends, we have the difficulties of today and tomorrow.

I still have a dream.

It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed.

We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal.

I have a dream that one day out in the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slaveowners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by their character.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of interposition and nullification; that one day right down in Alabama little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day every valley shall be engulfed, every hill shall be exalted and every mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plains and the crooked places will be made straight and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together.

This is our hope.

This is the faith that I will go back to the South with.

With this faith we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope.

With this faith we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood.

With this faith we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to climb up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day.

This will be the day when all of God's children will be able to sing with new meaning "My country 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing.

Land where my father's died, land of the Pilgrim's pride, from every mountainside, let freedom ring!"

And if America is to be a great nation, this must become true. So let freedom ring from the hilltops of New Hampshire.

Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of New York.

Let freedom ring from the heightening Alleghenies of Pennsylvania.

Let freedom ring from the snow-capped Rockies of Colorado.

Let freedom ring from the curvacious slopes of California.

But not only that, let freedom, ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia.

Let freedom ring from every hill and molehill of Mississippi and every mountainside.

When we let freedom ring, when we let it ring from every tenement and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old spiritual, "Free at last, free at last. Thank God Almighty, we are free at last."

Swadee Kap

Aku memang bergurau bila aku kata aku nak menikah kat Siam TAPI aku memang tak bergurau bila aku kata aku nak pergi Siam. Surau aku akan anjurkan satu lawatan ilmiyyah 3 hari 1 malam ke Yala, Pattani dan Hadnyai hujung minggu ni. Subsidi 40% keatas tambang diberi utk staff yang berminat. Dah 2 minggu tangan aku tak cukup utk buat kerja collect duit [menyerlah bakat utk jadi along].

Aku bukan pergi solo. Aku bawa mrs.amd sekali. Dia ikut bukan pasal dia takut aku menggatal kat sana tapi memang aku yang mahu dia ikut. Sebab kalau aku pergi sorang alamatnya aku tak beli apa2 pun. Aku memang jenis orang yang tak pandai shopping. Kang kalau aku beli benda bodoh2 dia jugak yang marah.

Mrs.amd tanya aku berapa banyak duit nak bawak. Aku kata "bawaklah dua ribu". Seribu utk dia shopping, seribu lagi utk aku menikah lagi satu hahahaha!

Sebenarnya aku tak berapa setuju bila tengok agenda lawatan ni yang berat kepada membeli belah. Bukan apa, nama pun lawatan ilmiyah tentulah kena pentingkan pengisian. Kalau nak bersuka2 jer tak payah lah panggil lawatan ilmiyyah.
Aku malas nak cakap banyak bila aku cakap sekali orang taknak dengar.

Apa apa pun antara yang bakal dilawati ialah makam Sheikh Daud Pattani penulis kitab fekah 'Matlaul Badrain' dan juga sekolah pondok moden Haji Harun.

Harap2 semuanya berjalan lancar...insyaAllah!


Formula One - Amd's review

Bosan giler Michael Schumacher asik kalah ajer! GP Hungaroring semalam dapat satu mata jer...hampeh betul! [utk sapa yg belum tahu lagik, aku memang peminat mati keras dia]. Aku rasa macam dah hilang passion pulak tengok Formula One lately ni. Aku tak kisah kalau dia tak menang tapi kalau dah memanjang jer tak naik podium memang masalah besar nih. Meh aku list down apa yang ada kat kepala aku tentang masalah dia.

Kereta? Mungkin ada something wrong dengan lauching system kereta dia coz boleh nampak bila start jer race habis semua orang potong dia...kesian ko michael, dah lah qualifying pun slow giler. F2003 ni memang lack of reliability, unlike kereta sebelum ni. Aerodinamik package diorang pun tak sebagus renault yang tahun ni yang begitu menyerlah. Straight line speed pula memang William punya advantage, tahun ni enjin diorang memang reliable berbanding musim lalu. So dari segi performance kereta Ferrari memang ketinggalan.

Tayar? Bridgestone sekarang memang jauh ketinggalan berbanding Michelin. Almost semua front runners adalah pengguna michelin except Ferrari. Maybe its about time Ferrari switch the tyres. Seingat aku dulu pun Ferrari ada masalah yang sama dengan Goodyear, susah nak menang. Bila diorang switched to Bridgestone macam team lain baru lah menyerlah dan competitive. Tayar memang memainkan peranan.

Faktor umor? Mungkin kut. Kata orang makin tua makin 'cool', mmm...patutlah. Kalau dikaji balik pelumba2 yang seangkatan dengan Michael rasanya semua dah out except for David Coulthard [anyway dia pun dah tak menyerlah macam dulu, overshadowed by Raikkonen]. Mika Hakkinen yang kata nak make a comeback pun terus tenggelam. Mungkin its about time pelumba2 muda cam Montoya, Raikkonen, Alonso & Mark Webber pulak ambik alih tempat diorang.

Bad luck? Macam teori domino, one after another. Last GP boleh dapat no.2 tetiba last lap tayar pulak pancit. Semalam sepatutnya dia dah boleh pintas Jarno trulli kereta pulak boleh mati enjin. Aku nak cadangkan dia mandi bunga laa macam ni. Anyway this happens to anybody.

Tengah fikir kalau Michael Schumacher bersara aku nak sokong sapa pulak ek?

Hadis kat atas aku copy dr jernel tOKSIK. Cukup releven dgn situasi yg aku tengah hadapi sekarang ni.

Sepanjang hidup aku ada benda yang aku cuba nak capai tapi tak dapat2 walaupun aku dah berusaha sebaik mungkin. Sebab kalau dah ditakdirkan bukan rezeki aku buat macamana pun memang takkan dapat , terpaksalah terima dengan sabar. Mungkin ada kebaikan dari apa yang berlaku, mungkin rezeki aku kat tempat lain cuma aku jer yang tak perasan. Allah tu kan maha adil.

Result dah dapat....aku fail lagik, hampehhh big time. Aku ingat dah boleh pass or atleast marginally pass, sebab masa jawab hari tuh cam okay jer tapi apa nak buat, paper yang aku rasa boleh makan tu yang kantoi and yang aku rasa mungkin marginally fail lagi worst argghhhhh! Aku rasa diorang ni purposely tak bagi aku pass kut! Aku tengah sedih ni...uhuk2!

Kalau nak ikut memang lah aku nak pass sesangat exam ni sebab atleast ada laa chance untuk aku err naik pangkat ker and most important naik gaji ker, senang lah sikit. Tapi nak buat camana, belum rezeki aku. Bukannya berfikiran negative tapi pikir2 balik aku rasa dengan rezeki yang aku dapat sekarang ni dah alhamdulillah mencukupi, kalau rezeki dah setakat ni aku redha saja lah, aku pun bukan muda lagi [aku memang sedar].

Siapa pula yang tak mahu rezeki lebih. Lebih2 lagi cam aku ni yang lagi cerah masa depan kalau dapat habiskan exam nih.
Cuma aku rasa kalau tak habis acca pun aku rasa aku takkan mati kebulor. Tengah fikir lagi nak give another try or not...hmmmm, duit lagik!

Pikir2 balik kengkadang takut juga kalau tuhan uji kita dengan rezeki melimpah2, mana tahu aku akan jadi lalai, sibuk kerja cari duit siang malam sampai nak pergi surau sembahyang berjemaah pun tak sempat [macam sesetengah bos kat opis aku ni] . Aku tak mahu jadi Sa'labah, time dia susah sembahyang berjemaah kat masjid pun tak missed tapi bila Allah uji dia dengan kekayaan dia lalai sampai nak keluar zakat pun tak nak, nauzubillah.

Teringat pula ada seorang pemain bola senior yang baru sahaja kembali kerahmatullah. Orang mungkin kata dia ni tu bagus sebab terlalu devoted pada bola sampai mati pun atas padang. Aku cuma kata, kesian dia. Betullah kata orang, kalau kau kat dunia ni kau leka dengan sesuatu pekerjaan nescaya masa mati kau pun dengan cara yang demikian juga.
Kan bagus kalau dia mati masa tengah beribadat atau atleast pun kat rumah dengan ditemani anak isteri, barulah elok sikit penyudahnya. Aku memang mulut celupar.

Yang aku heran tu, kengkadang kita tengok seseorang tu punyalah cergas bersukan alih2 meninggal kena sakit jantung, macam tak percaya jer kan? Masalahnya kita ni selalu ikut logik akal. Aku kata kalau dah ditakdirkan dia mati sakit jantung bukan boleh kira berapa tinggi kolesterol dia. In another word kalau orang yang cergas yang tak mungkin ada masalah high kolesterol pun boleh mati sakit jantung inikan pulak orang yang ada high kolesterol ek? Alamak terkena kat aku balik laa.

Pendek kata panjang pendek umur kita bukannya boleh diukur dengan berapa sihat tubuh badan kita pun. Orang sihat pun mati jugak. Yang penting kena selalu ingat mati...aku cakap ni untuk aku sendiri laa.

Aku baru saja lepas jalani ujian kesihatan, result kat bawah ni :

Body Mass Index : 21.2 [within desirable range, berat sama tinggi ideal]
Body Fat : 19.5 [ 18.5-24.9...aku memang tak banyak lemak]
Fat To Gain : 2.8 kg [thats mean kena tambah boroi lagi]
Blood pressure : 109/63 [ less than 140/90...mmm okay laa]
Heartbeat : 71 [normal lagi...tak darah gemuruh, cool!]
Glukos : 5.1 [pun normal gak...aku cukup makan gula]
Cholesterol : 211 [ mesin tu kata risiko sempadan...tidakkkk!]

Ishhhhkkk....macam mana boleh high cholesterol ni? Nurse tu kata kalau aku tak jaga makan mungkin aku akan mati sakit jantung. Tak percaya sunggoh. Aku kata kat nurse tu mungkin mesin tu yang rosak sebab aku yang kurus macam ni boleh high cholesterol, contrast betul. Dia kata mesin tu memang accurate, guna digital. Lagipun orang kurus tak semestinya takde penyakit...ye lar...ye larr.

Pikir2 balik mungkin ada kena mengena dengan kari kambing yang aku bedal sampai licin [jari je jilat sampai licin] minggu lepas. Tak pun roti telur kedai mamak kat kantin yang aku belasah hari2...bluehhh! Ini lah padahnya bila tak jaga makan.
Bila aku go through list makanan punca high cholestrol cam telur, santan, seafood, benda goreng2 blablabla...aku kata kalau nak skip semua tu mahu aku kebulur tak makan...harks!

Cuma tengah musykil, camana nak tambah berat badan at the same time kurangkan cholestrol level....camana ek?

Aku rasa bulan ni duit aku keluar macam air. Baru 5 haribulan aku dah rasa macam pokai giler. Aku kata nasib baik macam air sebab kalau macam api mungkin lagi teruk. Aku tengah bayangkan macammana agaknya kalau duit aku keluar macam api, tentu berasap2 poket aku.

Kadang2 terpikir juga aku, ntah2 ada rezeki aku yang tak berkat kut.....astaghfirullah banyak2 lah amd!
